ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Spring may still be a couple of weeks away, but camping enthusiasts can get an early jump on the season at the state fairgrounds this weekend.
The 40th annual RV and Camping Show kicked off Thursday.
Dozens of vendors are showing off all the latest gear in three different buildings at the fairgrounds. And while the Governor's budget proposal calls for closing a number of state parks, dealers say it shouldn't have too big of an impact on camping.
"There really weren't a lot of campgrounds that were affected, but there are a few. I was surprised to hear the private campground owners are happy, because it's that much more business for them," said Harold Oot, President of Seven O's RV Stores.
The RV and Camping Show runs through Sunday.
