House investigates complaint against Massa
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Congressman Eric Massa said his decision not to seek re-election was based on health reasons, but there is controversy surrounding his announcement.
The House Ethics panel is looking into a sexual harassment complaint against Massa by a male staff member. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Wednesday he was made aware of the allegations by a staffer in Massa's office last month.
During his announcement Wednesday, Massa said although he sometimes uses "salty" language, he apologizes when appropriate.
