NEW YORK CITY -- Governor David Paterson makes his first public appearance in several days following more allegations against him and his staff, the resignation of three members of his administration and increased calls for his resignation.

Paterson spoke at a restaurant grand opening at JFK Airport in New York City Friday night. He says he's not going to resign.

Paterson maintains his innocence, and says he will be vindicated. He also reiterated that now is not the time to tell his side of the story.

"I have all intentions of answering questions, but will not in the midst of investigation news media looking stories, investigation looking for facts,” said Paterson.

Paterson says the budget crisis, not the allegations against him and his administration should be the state's focus right now.
