CICERO, N.Y. -- The Town of Cicero is, once again, talking about a police merger with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office.

Cicero Town Supervisor Judy Boyke says she's meeting with Onondaga County Sheriff Walsh and Cicero Police Chief Joseph Snell on Thursday. Board member Jim Corl will also be present, acting as a liaison. Boyke says at this point, the meetings are merely informational.

"It's just a meet and greet. Being new, I'm looking at obviously aspects of the town and I asked for the meeting because of the people wanting to think about this merger and I need to understand it before I can even truly speak to it," Boyke said.

Cicero Police Chief Joseph Snell says the town should look at all options before "throwing the baby out with the bath water."

Boyke says if it does become an option, it will be for the people of the Town of Cicero to decide.
