The results are in for school districts across our area. A majority of the budgets have passed, including two of the larger school districts in Onondaga County: Liverpool and North Syracuse. Our Kat De Maria joined us from Liverpool High School with more on the results for those two districts.

CENTRAL NEW YORK -- Budget results are in for a majority of schools in our area and despite the governor's prediction, it appears most budgets passed.
Among the more controversial, the Liverpool School District budget, which calls 130 job cuts and the closure of two elementary schools. The superintendent says the school board had to take drastic measures to fix a multi-million dollar budget gap left by a decrease in state aid. He says the approval of this spending plan is a big step in closing that gap.
Also passing, the budget for the North Syracuse School District. With a two to one margin, voters approved a plan which will cut just about 100 positions and increase taxes by more than three percent.
But there are a few budgets that did not pass. The Onondaga Central School District budget failed by 72 votes. The Canastota School District failed by just nine votes. Both of those results are final.
It appears the Fulton budget also failed, but those results are not final. There are still absentee ballots to be counted. Right now, there is an eight vote difference.
