LIVERPOOL, N.Y. -- Pier 57 Restaurant is back open for business just one day after an SUV crashed into the front of the Route 57 business, forcing the eatery to shut down.
Sheriff's deputies say Clifton Reynolds of Clay was drunk Wednesday when he rear-ended another car with his SUV before continuing into the restaurant parking lot and flipping several times. Reynolds now faces numerous charges, including DWI, driving under the influence of drugs and marijuana possession. He is in fair condition at University Hospital.
No one else was hurt.
