BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Organizers are expecting a record crowd. With warm weather in the forecast, they anticipate upwards of 15-thousand people.
For staff members, it's been hectic getting everything organized and set up, but they say welcome the extra work.
Ray Vanderpoel, Senior Park technician, said,
"I just like the whole fourth of july thing, this is my 25th year. I just look forward to it. There is a lot of work involved but it's a family event and I really like to see the family as a cohesive unit coming in and just enjoying themselves for the day
The festival at the park begins at noon and ends at 9:30pm with a giant fireworks display.
