ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. – The 49th District Senate candidate, Andrew Russo, picked up two endorsements Wednesday. Unshackle Upstate and the National Federation of Independent Businesses were joined by Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney in East Syracuse Wednesday for the endorsement.
Russo's commitment to reining in spending and reducing the tax burden on businesses and families are the issues that got him the endorsement.
"There is no question that I care about Central New York and we need people's focus to be on the issues, the issues that matter to them, the out of control spending, the out of control taxes," Russo said.
Unshackle Upstate and the National Federation of Independent Businesses are two of New York's leading taxpayer and business advocacy organizations.
Russo is challenging incumbent Senator David Valesky.
