ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Jurors will continue deliberations Tuesday morning in the retrial of an Ogdensburg man accused of killing his neighbor. Jurors went home late Monday night without reaching a verdict.
Wayne Oxley is accused of beating Bernard Trickey Jr. to death with a baseball bat back in 2005. Oxley was convicted of the crime a year later, but the verdict was overturned in 2009.
The re-trial started nearly two months ago. Both the prosecution and defense called dozens of witnesses in the case.
