SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra continues to reach out for donations as they struggle to stay afloat.
The symphony has to raise about $144,000 by the end of the month in order to keep the music playing. That would complete the first phase of a $1.75 million fundraising campaign for the symphony's 50th anniversary season.
The Orchestra's Interim Executive Director says they must receive this cash or they will be forced to suspend operations in the coming weeks.
Phase two of the campaign calls for monthly goals of $400,000 in April and May. Once those goals are complete, the symphony will still need to raise an additional $130,000.
