ROME, N.Y. -- No major damage was reported in Oneida County following a late afternoon storm that included a tornado sighting near Rome.
Flooding was one of the main concerns in the city in the aftermath of the storm. Cars had to wade through water along parts of Erie Boulevard.
The National Weather Service says a trained weather spotter saw a funnel cloud touch down southwest of the city, but reports of wind damage are limited to downed trees and power lines.
