TULLY, N.Y. -- Students at Tully Junior-Senior High School help make their campus a little greener. As part of a "SUNY ESF in the High School" class, they researched and designed an electric car charging station that runs off wind and solar energy, which also powers the school's scoreboard.

Students say the project was a great way to help the environment while also preparing for their own future.

"It gets the students involved in a new technology, it's hands-on learning, and it's just a lot of fun," said student Dewey Northrup.

Officials say they believe the charging station is the first of its kind at a school.
