POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Ten regular season titles, five ECAC tourney titles and 20 NCAA tournaments. The Clarkson men's hockey team has had its fair share of banners to hang, but after a few tough seasons, the university is welcoming a new head coach, Casey Jones.

Jones said, "Looking forward to working hard and putting forth an effort that Clarkson deserves."

Clarkson Athletic Director Steven Yianoukos said, "Starting another stage in Clarkson hockey and build up the tradition."

The veteran coach has more than ten years experience and a lifetime of playing. He is known for his discipline on the ice, dedication to the game and keeping everyone pumped about hockey.

CU hockey player Nick Tremblay said, "I heard Casey brings a lot of new energy and a lot of passion to the game. I know all the guys are excited."

Jones is replacing George Roll who coached at Clarkson for eight years. Roll was let go in April after three losing seasons, but Jones is confident he can take the Knights back to the top.

Jones said, "The one thing I want to do is win. We're going to be committed. Committed to everything we do."

CU hockey player Jake Morley said, "It's something different. It's a change of pace. It's tough to see the old coach go, but you have to move on and get past it. We're looking forward to next year."

Eager to take home another title.

This isn't Jones' first time at the university. He was the assistant hockey coach from 1993 to 1995.
