ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Two Florida detectives were in Elmira this week, searching for evidence that could lead them to the whereabouts of a missing Florida police cadet.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's office says Kelly Rothwell has been missing since March. Police say her boyfriend, David Perry, who is from Elmira, left Florida after Rothwell's disappearance and returned to the Southern Tier. Police also say he has been uncooperative in the investigation from the start.

Florida detectives tried to interview Perry again this week, but say he became upset and walked out. Detectives also tried interviewing Perry's two daughters, who refused to answer their questions.

Perry has not been charged in the disappearance of Rothwell, but was arrested last month and charged with second degree grand larceny, insurance fraud and fraudulent insurance practices.
