JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Filled with wine enthusiasts, these buses have been bringing thousands of customers to Jefferson County wineries over the past year.

Coyote Moon Vineyards owner Tony Randazzo said, "It's brought a ton of business up to Jefferson County and we're having a lot of fun with it."

Clarence Henry Coach President Robert Freeman said, "The attendance has been overwhelming. The bus is full every tour that we provide."

Now this tour is expanding even more.

"We saw a specific marketing nitch where we could capitalize on the fact that we have more residents in the area during the summer periods of time and that we could actually do to those separate locations and we could actually pick them up there," said Freeman.

Five days a week, Clarence Henry Coach will be driving the wine trail. It's something those along the Seaway Trail say is helping spread awareness and increase business.

Thousand Islands Seaway Wine Trail President Nicholas Surdo said, "Most certainly. Certainly though the fact that the busses are coming with lots of people on them is nothing but great for us."

As the success of the wine trail continues to grow, so do the businesses along its route and a Finger Lakes Winery is joining in.

Hunt Country Vineyards is opening up a satellite store, partnering with River Rat Cheese for Wine and Cheese tastings.

"We're excited to have them," said Randazzo. "The more wineries the more wine stores we can have up here the better that we're all going to do."

The Seaway Trail's President also says two more vineyards have paperwork in already to begin building facilities along the trail as well. All of this expansion means more opportunities for those like Freeman and good news for those throughout the North Country.

Freeman said, "There is room for other entities to get involved, I'm sure that will happen."

"We're going to give the Finger Lakes a run for their money," said Randazzo.

There is not an official opening date available yet for Hunt Country Vineyards. They plan to be open for this summer season.
