SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- History buffs will get the chance to tour a prominent cemetery and hear from the ghost's of Syracuse's past.

The Onondaga Historical Association is holding its annual Ghost Walk this weekend at Oakwood Cemetery. The theme of this year's walk is "Icons of Oakwood." Walkers will be able tour the cemetery grounds and hear from characters portraying people buried there.

Oakwood was developed in the mid 19th century and is rich in history.

"People who played an important part in the early days of Syracuse and there's a number of interesting stories there. We have five ghosts and that barely touches the number of stories there,” said Scott Peal, from the Onondaga Historical Association.

Walks will be held Friday through Sunday, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. each night.
