SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A new piece of artwork greets visitors to Syracuse at Hancock International Airport.

Students from Corcoran High School's Studio Art Class designed and painted the mural which can be found in the main lobby at the airport. The mural depicts a view of Onondaga Park and its iconic gazebo.

The new piece hangs next to a mural painted by Henninger High School students last year.

"We wanted to give them the opportunity to showcase their talents to the two million people that pass through the terminal on an annual basis and we think it's important to give them that opportunity," said Aviation Commissioner Christina Reale.

Reale hopes to have Nottingham High School paint next year's mural.
