ENDICOTT, N.Y.- The American Red Cross and Binghamton Veterans Center held the seventh in a series of 12 information nights for veterans Tuesday night.
The seminar focused on helping veterans recognize and understand the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. PTSD is an anxiety disorder that can occur after someone witnesses a traumatic event.
Organizers encourage veterans and their families to come to the information nights so they know what services are available to them.
"I think that it's important to come no matter what, just to learn about the resources that are available. There are so many resources in the community that are free, including ours, to veterans," said Binghamton Veterans Center Team Leader Allison Miller.
Another session dealing with veterans and traumatic brain injuries will be held on August 23rd.
