Corning murder suspect indicted
CORNING, N.Y. -- One of the suspects from last month's murder in Corning has been indicted by a grand jury.
Marland Brooks, 38, of Elmira, was indicted earlier this week. Brooks faces two counts of murder in the second degree, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police believe Brooks and Samantha Smith, 28, were involved in the murder of Clark VanEtten. Police say VanEtten was stabbed to death in his Park Avenue home in June.
