BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Mets All-Star shortstop Jose Reyes did not get to test the hamstring he's in Binghamton to rehab on Thursday as he walked, flew out and got no fielding attempts in five innings as the B-Mets lost to Altoona 5-4.
Reyes walked in his first plate appearance, moved to second on a balk and got to trot home on a home run by Reese Havens--who loaned his No. 7 jersey to Reyes while the superstar is in town. In his second at-bat Reyes nearly hit a home run of his own but the ball came down on the warning track.
Reyes is scheduled to play with Binghamton again Friday and Saturday then take Sunday off and return to the parent club on Monday.
