ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Oneida County man accused of killing his girlfriend's daughter has been indicted by a grand jury.

David Trebilcock, 30, of Sherrill, was indicted Wednesday on charges of second degree murder and assault and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Authorities say Trebilcock stabbed and killed his girlfriend's six-year-old daughter, Lauren Belius, on July 19th.

His defense attorney has said Trebilcock may have a history of mental illness, but he has been found fit for trial.

An arraignment date for Trebilcock has not yet been set.
