Flooding keeps our reporter out of Pennsylvania

This was the scene in Nichols, New York as our crews tried to make it into Pennsylvania, but were turned around.

Water levels in the creeks and streams surrounding the area were rising to high levels. Several parks, fields and yards in the village were underwater.

Parking lot caves in on Vestal Parkway

Damage from the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee is also being seen in non-flooded areas. A portion of the parking lot outside of a FedEx store on the Vestal Parkway collapsed Wednesday afternoon.

Officials closed off much of the parking lot as a precaution in case further damage occurs. One person we talked to says he missed losing his car by just one spot.

"I normally park right over there where the spot is half gone, I park there every single day. But today, for some reason, I parked just next to it one space over. A customer came into the store today and said your parking lot is caving in. You might want to move your car," Binghamton resident Tyler Distad said.
