TECT Utica Corporation invests in Whitesboro plant
UTICA, N.Y. -- TECT Utica Corporation announces an upgrade that will keep high-paying jobs in the region. The company, which makes titanium fan blades for commercial aircraft engines, says it will upgrade its Whitesboro facility.
The move is in response to customer demand. The nearly $10 million project will allow for the retention of 160 high-paying, skilled manufacturing jobs in the Mohawk Valley.
Empire State Development is chipping in $750,000.
TECT has four other out-of-state facilities, but chose to reinvest in the Whitesboro location.
