SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A Syracuse University basketball court never had so much talent on it at once as Jim Boeheim Court did on Friday for SU's Midnight Madness event, and the Orange legends put on a spectacular show for the estimated 15,000 fans on hand.
Stars from yesteryear and seemingly yesterday were on hand thanks to the NBA lockout, with the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Wes Johnson, Hakim Warrick, Jonny Flynn, Eric Devendorf, Andy Rautins, Roosevelt Bouie, John Wallace, Derrick Coleman, and Donte Greene taking part. Anthony declined to play in the legends game despite a couple of loud please from the crowd but there were still plenty of fireworks with thunderous dunks on both sides of the court and Wallace hitting a game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds to give his team the win.
The event marked the start of practice for both the SU men's and women's teams, who held their Media Day events earlier in the day.
