ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 63-year old woman was arrested over the weekend after leading police on a high speed chase. State Police say a trooper pulled over Sharon Henderson in the City of Rome for a vehicle and traffic violation. While the trooper was conducting a file check, Henderson sped away.

There was a brief pursuit before the chase was called off, but Henderson didn't get away. She wound up crashing her vehicle on Route 365 in the Town of Verona.

Henderson was arrested and charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer, reckless driving and numerous other vehicle and traffic violations.
