STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A trial date has been set for a Steuben County man accused of killing another man last summer. Marland Brooks is charged with second degree murder for the death of Clark Van Etten.
Authorities say Brooks stabbed Van Etten in his Corning apartment in June. Brooks' attorney says his client acted in self-defense.
The trial is currently set for January 23rd.
