ANTWERP, N.Y. -- One woman is dead after crashing her car into a tree early Sunday. It happened around 9 a.m. on County Route 26 in Antwerp.

Police said Nancy Lapp, 18, of Philadelphia, New York was traveling north when she lost control of her vehicle. They believe icy road conditions may have played a factor.

Route 26 was closed for nearly three hours while police investigated the crash. No one else was in the car.
