SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- We have some good news to report about Princess the pit bull.

When the SPCA found Princess last November, they said she was severely malnourished. Investigators said she weighed 25 pounds at the time, half the size she should have been and had trouble standing, eating and drinking.

Her owner, Wendy Collins, 32, was charged with failure to provide proper sustenance and failure to provide medical care. Collins told investigators she did not have food to feed the dog.

The SPCA says, Princess is now back to her normal weight and is doing well. The pit bull mix is in foster care and they are waiting to see when she can be signed over.
