STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Steuben County man accused of killing his former girlfriend is facing a more serious charge following a grand jury indictment.

Joseph Dixon, 49, was arrested last November and charged with manslaughter for allegedly killing Delores Warner in her Town of Corning home. But a grand jury has upgraded that charge to one count of second degree murder.

Dixon is being held in Steuben County Jail without bail.
