UTICA, N.Y. -- It was a Valentine's Day showing of love and support for three Oneida County law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

Plaques remembering New Hartford Police Officer Joseph Corr, Utica Police Officer Thomas Lindsey, and Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy Kurt Wyman were unveiled Tuesday in the lobby of the Oneida County Courthouse.

Family and fellow officers gathered to pay tribute to the men. They say it's nice to know their loved ones' sacrifices will truly never be forgotten.

"Today's a nice day to make a tribute to three fine officers that gave their lives. Every day when people go in and out of here, they'll remember why just by looking at these," said Dave Corr, father of Joseph Corr.

Deputies at the Oneida County Courthouse say they wanted to create a memorial there because it's the location where the law the officers swore to uphold is followed through to just results.
