ALBANY, N.Y. - The BU women's basketball team got drilled by the Great Danes 69-37 Wednesday night to clinch the 6th seed in the upcoming America East tournament.
The Bearcats scored 36 points in the rivals' earlier meeting this season but only lost by one.
This time the Great Danes (20-9, 14-2) used a 19-2 spurt in the first half to blow the game open.
Binghamton (12-16, 6-9) lost its third straight game and fourth in the last five to fall to 6-9 in the conference with one game remaining.
BU hosts New Hampshire in the regular season finale Saturday at 2:00 pm.
