Dames pleads guilty in fatal Rome stabbing case

UTICA, N.Y. -- Just two days after rejecting a second plea deal offer, Terrance Dames pleaded guilty to charges in the stabbing death of a Rome man.
Dames is accused of fatally stabbing Stephen LaPointe, 20, near the intersection of Lawrence and Depeyster Streets in Rome in the early morning hours of September 27th.
On Wednesday, Dames pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter. He's scheduled to be sentenced April 16.
