SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The newly renovated Landmark Theatre will be fired up with the seventh annual Rockin' the Red Cross Battle of the Bands on April 20th.

The event returns to the Landmark after construction moved the event to the War Memorial last year. This year's battle will also feature celebrity hosts Ted and Amy from 93-Q.

The Battle of the Bands will show off the talents of musicians from ten local companies. The goal is to raise money and create awareness for the American Red Cross of Central New York.
"It's huge because all of the money from events like Rockin' the Red Cross stay here in the community and everybody really gets to know the American Red Cross when there is a disaster or something happens on a global or national basis. But a lot of that money is donated to those disasters and it goes to the national organization," said Michelle Keib, Board of Directors on American Red Cross of CNY.

Last year's winner, the C-X-Tec Dinosaurs, will perform again as a featured part of the show and will also help judge the battle.
