SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Upstate Medical University employs more than 9,000 people and Saturday they were looking to bring more people on board as they held their 12th annual career expo.
Representatives from 30 departments at Upstate were on hand to talk to potential employees and even pre-screen job candidates interested in applying.
This year, Community General also took part in the expo for the very first time.
Officials say there's a high demand for good nurses, especially in a growing field.
Eric Frost, Associate VP for Human Resources at Upstate Medical University said, “It's actually one of the fastest growing industries. But it is a field that's good to move into at this point."
Upstate's IT department was also on hand looking for new recruits to help out with an electronic medical record project.
