TUPPER LAKE, N.Y. -- An intense search is underway for a missing Tupper Lake teen. Officials said Colin Gillis, 18, wandered away from a social gathering at a home in Tupper Lake Saturday night.

He was last seen walking toward Piercefield. Phone records show Gillis was last heard from early Sunday morning.

More than 100 volunteers have joined crews from the DEC and state police in the search for Gillis. A police chopper and DEC airboat are being used.

Gillis is six feet, one inch tall and weighs 170 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt with black stripes, blue jeans and red sneakers.

Anyone with any information that may help in locating Gillis is asked to call state police at (518) 897-1300.
