ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- The number of volunteers aiding in the search for a missing Tupper Lake teen has now topped 200. That's how many people came out today to help state police and DEC forces, as they push to find Colin Gillis, 18.

Police said Gillis wandered away from a social gathering in Tupper Lake Saturday night. He was last seen walking on Route 3, headed toward Piercefield.

Search crews have found some of Gillis' belongings, but would not go into detail. Search teams continue their efforts today. Police said there has been no evidence that Gillis was hit by a car or had attempted to walk across the ice.

Gillis is 6’1” and weighs about 170 pounds. He is said to have been wearing a white shirt with black stripes, blue jeans, and red sneakers.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call state police at (518) 897-1300.
