ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Despite several days of searching, a Tupper Lake teen reported missing on Sunday night still has not been located.

DEC Forest Rangers and State police were joined by volunteers for a fourth day of searching for Colin Gillis on Thursday. Fort Drum helicopters, dive teams and k9 units also helped in the search.

A lack of fresh snow since the weekend is helping crews narrow down search areas.

"The weather's been changing but it's really been in our favor as we discussed earlier it could have been a lot worse for us. As more ground becomes exposed, as more water become exposed that helps us look in different areas for Colin," said John Tibbitts, New York State Police.

Authorities said Colin Gillis was last seen late Saturday night by a passerby walking down Route 3 in Tupper Lake toward Piercefield. He is described as 6’1”, 170 pounds, and was last seen wearing a white shirt with black stripes, blue jeans and red sneakers.

Specialized teams of DEC Forest Rangers and State Troopers will continue searching today.
