More than a month has passed since a fire in Rochester killed four children, and there is still no word on a cause.

Gage Reavey, 14; Kandee Kugler, 12; Greg Kugler, 13; and six-year-old Kaiden Kugler all died on the morning of February 18th.

The four were trapped on the second floor of their Grape Street home when fire broke out
on the first floor. The flames were so intense, they kept firefighters from getting to the victims.

Chief John Caufield of the Rochester Fire Department says investigators are continuing to talk to witnesses.

"I would say they are being cooperative, generally speaking. It's kind of a broad-brush approach to it. The more difficult questions that are asked, the answers are pretty difficult in
being forthcoming. We're working on some really strong theories and that's about as far as I can go on that point," said Caufield.

Caufield did add that investigators have not found a compelling piece of evidence to point to the exact cause of the fire.

The children's mother, Bobbi Kugler, and her two-year-old son were rescued from the fire. Three other people suffered injuries in the fire.
