ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Great Northern Mall looked more like Pitt Row this weekend.
The Fulton and Brewerton Car Show featured all kinds of racecars, and gave fans a chance to meet some of the drivers themselves. The three day event is meant to spark some interest in the sport, and track officials hope that will mean more fans in the seats come race day.
Cory Reed, of the Brewerton and Fulton Speedway said, “The goal is to attract both fans that we have, maybe some old fans who don't come anymore and also new fans. One of our things, we try to do here is educate the public that kids are free for most of our events. 18 and under are free for almost every one of our races."
Brewerton Speedway opens up April 20th. Fulton Speedway officially opens for the season on May 5th, although they do have a pre-season race coming up next month.
