ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Authorities in Brewerton are searching for a man who robbed a bank at gunpoint. It happened just before 5 p.m. Thursday at the Fulton Savings Bank on Bartel Road.

Police say the man walked in, showed a weapon to the teller and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect did not make any attempt to cover his face, providing police with clear surveillance video.

He is believed to be in his mid 20s and between 5-foot-5 and 5-6. Investigators say he was on foot when he left and they believe he may still be in the area. They are urging everyone to be on the lookout.

"If you see anything suspicious at this point, you know, now about this event, call 911 immediately, let us check it out. We would rather check it out and not find anything than you not tell us and we miss the opportunity of taking this guy into custody," said Onondaga County Undersheriff Warren Darby.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Sheriff's Department at (315) 435-3081.
