ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Sheriff's detectives made an arrest in connection with Thursday’s bank robbery in the Town of Cicero. Following numerous tips, detectives arrested Timothy Okun around 11:40 p.m. in the Carousel Center parking lot.
Okun is accused of robbing the Fulton Savings Bank on Bartel Road at gunpoint Thursday. Police said Okun showed a gun to the teller, demanded money, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Because Okun didn't cover his face, surveillance photos gave authorities a clear picture of his identity.
He faces numerous charges including second-degree robbery and criminal use of a firearm, and third-degree grand larceny.
He's set to be arraigned in court later this morning.
