BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Their season comes to an end tonight, but the Binghamton Senators will be staying put, at least in the near future.
Team owners said the Ottawa Senators have agreed to extend their affiliation with the team for at least three more years. The deal is contingent on the finalization of a new lease at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
Binghamton has been affiliated with the Senators for 10 years. The team won the Calder Cup championship last season. They're scheduled to take on the Norfolk Admirals at 7-05 Saturday night.
