ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Mother Nature hasn't been giving people much time to dig out the proper clothes for the weather. But with 80-plus temperatures on Monday, some families were able to get the bathing suits out of storage and head to Green Lakes State Park, among other places.

And it wasn't just the water that was inviting. Golf conditions were also ideal. Or even just a nice stroll.

Whatever the activity, the great weather appears to have people thinking less about heading to a warm weather destination.

"The winter's been unbelievable. I didn't go to Florida this year. I was going to go, but decided not to at the last minute," Minoa resident Bob Kelty said.

"Gorgeous, gorgeous. Be nice if it was a little cooler. A little hot yet for me,” Windsor resident Alan Ketcha said.

"Are you surprised you're complaining about it being hot in April?" our photographer asked.

Ketcha replied, "I'm not a hot weather person."

One golfer we caught up with offered up some wise words, saying any kind of weather is nice as long as there is some sun.
