UNITED STATES -- Pennsylvania State Police are warning people about a Craigslist scam that popped up recently in the area. Investigators said someone has been posting local properties on Craigslist for rent, even though they don't own the homes.

The scammer got one person to wire him $550 to Nigeria for a deposit, claiming he or she was out of the country at the time.

Police are asking anyone else who may have been a victim to a similar crime to contact them at (570) 465-3154.
