ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Autopsy results are complete, revealing new details about the death of an 11-month-old child in Rome. Police said 11-month-old Kaitlyn Tennant suffocated while sleeping on the couch with family members at their home.

Police were called to River Street Tuesday around 7 a.m. They said the baby, her mother, and two young siblings were all sleeping on the couch. At some point during the night, the child's legs became trapped between the cushions, causing her body to turn face down. Tennant's airway became blocked as a result, and police said that's how she died.

Rome Police said the investigation is continuing and they are now working with the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center on the case, but it does not appear to be criminal at this time.
