SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- You may have raced "to" the mall in the past. And soon, you will be able to race "in" the mall.

A California company called Pole Position said it will lease space in the new Destiny USA mall for an electric kart track. The vehicles travel at up to 45 miles an hour. The indoor track will be among a number of entertainment venues on the new mall's 3rd floor.

And Destiny's developer said there is more to come.

Robert Congel of Destiny USA said, “This is where everyone comes and that's why we're putting the major entertainment on the third floor. I can't wait till it gets all done. I can't imagine being as excited as I am now over the product and what it's going to produce here."

Joining Pole Position on the third floor will be a high-end bowling center, a number of clubs and restaurants and a recently announced expansion by Regal cinemas, which is adding a premium 3-D theater as well as an IMAX theater to its mix.
