SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A local research and development company is cutting back its workforce. SRC has confirmed that they are laying off 35 employees.

SRC is headquartered in Syracuse, but the company says not all of the layoffs will impact workers there.

They said the cuts are needed to keep them competitive due to a reduction in government contracts and the general state of the industry. The company is still in the process of notifying employees of the layoffs.
