SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A child is in critical condition after he was hit by a car in Syracuse. It happened at the intersection of Lodi and Mary streets a little before 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say a 10-year-old boy was riding a skateboard on Mary Street when he rode onto Lodi and was hit.

The boy was taken to Upstate University Hospital.

Police have not yet released the victim's name.
