BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. -- A car crash in South Carolina Saturday night claimed the life of a former Elmira teen. Kayleeana Hudson-Banks, 15, was killed after the car she was riding in flipped over and crashed into a tree in Beaufort County.
South Carolina Highway Patrol said the 18-year-old driver of the vehicle also died in the crash and another passenger was hospitalized.
Hudson-Banks had recently moved south from Elmira.
Police said she and the other girls were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. They are still investigating how it happened.
