JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's office is temporarily calling off its search on Lake Ontario for a missing boater.

David Tuttle, 45, of Lowville, has been missing since Saturday morning after the 19 foot vessel he was fishing on capsized.

Because of the unusual weather conditions, the Coast Guard says it's not a good idea for boaters to venture out onto the lake if possible.

The Sheriff's office will resume its search efforts Saturday and work throughout the weekend.
